Everyone is excited about the Winter Olympics, except Puck. “I’m done with hockey!”

Puck is the one that gets dropped, passed, and hit, but his teammates get all the credit. He decides to find a life outside the hockey rink and searches for a sport where he can be the star.

Puck’s friends Bobsled, Snowboard, and Skates help him find the right solo sport. However, he encounters a series of mishaps and penalties. Soon Puck realizes he misses everything about his favorite sport, especially his team.

Kids who love winter sports, especially ice hockey, will learn that they can shine and still be a team player.

Reviews

A rogue hockey puck learns how to be a team player. With cartoony art and great word play, this delightful book will be a favorite read-aloud. I highly recommend for homes, schools, and libraries.

"Good Luck Puck, a heartwarming (and totally slap-shot-tastic) children’s book about a hockey puck on a quest to find the Olympic Sport where he truly shines. Picture this: teamwork, resilience, and a whole lotta heart wrapped up in an inspiring tale for kids. What’s not to love?!"

Donna Marx has written a thrilling, humorous, action-packed story that is filled with expressive language perfect for sports enthusiasts. The bright, colorful illustrations created by Daniel Sulzberg, will appeal to young readers with sounds drawn in bright comic book style and much of the dialogue written in speech bubbles. Kids are going to love Puck!
